At HealthNet, we recognise the essential role that pharmaceutical companies play in ensuring patient safety and maintaining the integrity of every therapy delivered through homecare.

As your partner, we take seriously our responsibility to support your regulatory obligations, particularly around Pharmacovigilance (PV) and product safety.

Our systems, governance processes, and clinical teams are structured to ensure you receive accurate, timely, and compliant safety information for every medicine you manufacture and every patient we support.

Pharmacovigilance & Product Safety Reporting

Supporting our pharmaceutical partners with compliant, timely safety reporting

Our Pharmacovigilance (PV) framework is built to fully support the safety obligations of Marketing Authorisation Holders. We recognise the critical importance of timely and accurate reporting for the medicines you manufacture, and we operate a rigorous system to ensure all Adverse Events (AEs) and Product Quality Complaints (PQCs) are captured, assessed, and transmitted in line with your regulatory requirements.

Our Reporting Process

We work in full alignment with MHRA guidelines and MAH expectations to ensure complete oversight of medicine safety across all therapies we support.

  • All AEs and PQCs are submitted to the relevant pharmaceutical company within 1 business day using your approved reporting templates and channels.

  • Every event is documented in accordance with MHRA Good Pharmacovigilance Practice (GVP) to maintain full compliance with UK regulatory standards.

  • Any patient safety incident involving potential or actual harm is immediately escalated to the prescriber, ensuring clinical oversight and continuity of care.

  • For therapies involving nursing support, our clinical teams record and share AE information via Clinical Evaluation Forms (CEFs) after every visit, ensuring complete transparency.

  • Where required, the Responsible Pharmacist provides clinical input to ensure accurate assessment and classification of reported events.

  • Monthly KPI and safety data reporting is provided to pharmaceutical partners, offering clear visibility of trends, compliance performance, and service assurance.

What This Means for Pharmaceutical Partners

Our PV processes give you confidence that:

  • Safety data from homecare patients is captured consistently, accurately, and promptly

  • Reporting is aligned with your internal PV requirements and global regulatory timelines

  • You maintain full oversight of product safety, quality, and patient experience in the homecare setting

  • You have a reliable partner who understands MAH governance expectations and exercises robust, auditable safety practices
